In short: Connect the Dots is a puzzle game for children. The app has no accounts, no advertising, no in-app purchases and no analytics or crash-reporting services. It does not collect personal information and does not send your child's play data to us or to anyone else. Game progress and settings are saved only on your device.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy describes how the Connect the Dots app for Android (package com.brainversekids.connectthedots), part of the BrainVerse Kids family of games, handles information. The app is developed and published by TechnoBevy ("we", "us").

This policy applies only to Connect the Dots. Other BrainVerse Kids apps have their own privacy policies, and their practices may differ.

The app is distributed through Google Play. When you find, download or update the app, Google may process information under Google's own privacy policy. This policy covers only the app itself.

2. Designed for children

Connect the Dots is designed for children. A grown-up can select an age band in Settings (4–5, 6–8 or 9–12). The selection is saved on the device only; it is not a birth date and does not identify the child.

Settings is protected by a simple parental gate (a short arithmetic question) so that a young child is less likely to change settings on their own. The gate protects Settings only; it does not stop a child from leaving the app with the device's normal Back or Home controls.

3. Information the app does not collect

Connect the Dots does not collect personal information from children or adults. Specifically, the app:

  • has no accounts, sign-in or user profiles tied to a person;
  • does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, photo or any other personal details;
  • does not send gameplay, progress, settings or any other data to us or to any server we operate;
  • does not include analytics, crash-reporting or tracking services;
  • does not include advertising, and does not use the Android advertising ID;
  • does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions;
  • does not access location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files on your device;
  • has no chat, messaging, user-generated content or social sharing features;
  • does not contain links out to websites or other apps; and
  • does not show an in-app rating or review request.

Because the app does not collect or transmit personal information, we do not share or sell any personal information with third parties.

4. Information stored only on your device

To remember your child's progress between sessions, the app saves a small game record in the app's private storage on the device. This record stays on the device and is never sent to us. It contains:

Stored itemWhy
Puzzles completed and the stars earned on each puzzleTo show progress and stars on the map and puzzle list
Which tiers (worlds) are unlockedTo open new tiers as the child progresses
A skill level for each tierTo track how the child is doing in each tier and suggest an easier or harder tier
Running totals of puzzles completed and stars earnedTo show the total star count
Selected age band (4–5, 6–8 or 9–12)To remember the grown-up's selection in Settings
Sound Effects, Haptics and Reduce Motion settingsTo remember the grown-up's choices

The same record also contains a few technical fields that the app sets automatically and that do not identify anyone: a fixed profile number that is the same on every device, the generic name "Player", the date the record was created, and default values for features that Connect the Dots does not use (for example, an unused music setting and an empty field from an earlier version's review prompt).

5. How long information is kept, and how to delete it

The on-device game record is kept until you delete it. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app. We cannot see, access or restore this information, because it never leaves your device.

6. How information is protected

The game record is kept in the app's private storage, which Android isolates from other apps. Because the app does not transmit the record, there is no copy on any server we operate.

7. Device permissions

The Android version of the app declares the following permissions. None of them gives the app access to personal information such as location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

PermissionWhat it is used for
Vibration (VIBRATE)Gentle haptic feedback during play. It can be turned off with the Haptics setting.
Internet (INTERNET)Included by the app framework the game is built with. The game itself does not make network requests or send data.
Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE), keep awake (WAKE_LOCK) and audio settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS)Requested by the audio library the game uses to play its sound effects. The game does not use them to collect or send data.

The app also declares an internal Android permission used only for communication within the app itself. It does not relate to any user data.

8. Advertising and purchases

Connect the Dots contains no advertising and no in-app purchases.

9. Changes to this policy

If the way Connect the Dots handles information changes, we will update this policy before or at the same time as the change, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
