Pre-release policy draft

Prepared for review. The privacy contact and dates must be completed before this policy takes effect. Final release permissions, backup settings, and service behavior also need verification.

Memory Match remembers game progress and preferences on your device. The reviewed implementation has no account sign-in and uses an in-memory event recorder rather than a remote analytics service.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy applies only to Memory Match, an Android game in the BrainVerse Kids family published under the TechnoBevy name (package com.brainversekids.memorymatch). Other TechnoBevy apps have separate policies.

This draft describes the implementation reviewed for the upcoming release. The final Android build, third-party services, and store disclosures must be checked before this policy takes effect.

2. Children and parent controls

The game is designed for children aged 4–12. An age band selected in Settings is saved locally; it is not a birth date. A short arithmetic parental gate protects Settings. The gate does not prevent a child from leaving the app using the device’s normal controls.

3. Game information stored on your device

The app uses private local storage to remember the following:

  • Completed levels, stars, unlocked tiers, skill scores, and running gameplay totals.
  • The selected age band and saved settings, including Reduce Motion, sound effects, reveal delay, and a separate Zen Mode preference.
  • A generic “Player” profile, a default avatar reference, a fixed profile number, record creation time, and technical fields used by the game.
  • A record of whether a rating prompt has already been shown.

The reviewed profile is not a registered account and does not ask the player to provide a name or contact details. Some settings and profile fields may be reserved for future features.

4. Analytics, advertising, and third-party services

In the reviewed implementation, gameplay and settings events are recorded in memory during a session. They are not sent to Firebase or a remote analytics service by that recorder and are cleared when the process ends.

No advertising, billing, remote analytics, or crash-reporting SDK appears in the reviewed app dependency list or service wiring. Their absence must be confirmed against the complete release build before publication; any added service will require this policy to identify its provider, the data it receives, and the purpose.

The app may request a Google Play rating through the platform’s review service. Downloading, updating, or reviewing the app is handled by Google under Google’s privacy policy. The Parents screen also opens an external privacy-policy page; the browser and website process that visit separately from the local game record.

5. Use, sharing, and support information

Local progress is used to restore play, show earned stars, and guide difficulty. Saved settings remember the parent’s choices. The reviewed storage and event-recording services do not transmit these records to TechnoBevy.

If an adult contacts support, the message may contain their email address and details they voluntarily provide. We will use those details to respond and resolve the request. Please do not send a child’s name, photo, school, or other unnecessary personal information.

Before this draft is finalized, support handling, any service providers, any disclosures required by law, and any other data sharing must be documented. This draft does not make an unverified promise about the complete release build.

6. Retention and deletion

The local game record remains until it is deleted. Clearing the app’s storage removes its saved data. Uninstalling removes app-local data, although device backup and restore settings can affect whether data returns after reinstallation; release backup settings remain to be checked.

The Reset progress option in Parents clears gameplay progress while retaining settings and accessibility preferences. To remove both progress and preferences, clear the app’s storage.

There is no registered app account to delete in the reviewed implementation. The final policy will specify a retention period and deletion process for any support correspondence or server-held data, if applicable.

7. Security and permissions

The reviewed game record is stored in the app’s private Android storage. This operating-system separation helps restrict access from other apps; it is not a guarantee against all device compromise or data loss.

The final Android manifest and device backup behavior must be verified before release. The published policy will identify any sensitive permissions and explain their actual purpose. The reviewed configuration blocks overlay and shared external-storage permissions. A permission declaration alone is not evidence that information is collected.

8. Parents’ requests and privacy questions

A parent or guardian can remove local game information through the device’s app-storage controls. For privacy questions, support-message deletion, or applicable data rights, contact [SUPPORT_EMAIL]. We may need enough information to identify the request, but please avoid sending a child’s personal information unnecessarily.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy and its last-updated date when the app’s information practices change. Advertising, analytics, cloud services, purchases, or account features added later will be disclosed before or when they become available.
